Description

The goal of the project is to improve the knowledge on the permafrost structure and extension in mountain talus slopes. For this, three talus slopes located in the Valais Alps are investigated (Les Attelas and Les Lapires in Mont Gelé area and Petit Mont Rouge, in Arolla area). Three boreholes were drilled in each landform. In addition to ground temperature recorded in the boreholes, geophysical measurements are carried out on the slopes.
